What makes Growing IQ different than other enrichment programs out there? While we are math-centric, we believe our methodology spans to subjects beyond math and the STEM fields. Growing IQ works to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills through the extensive use of experiential learning.
The process is long-term. If a parent is looking for a quick fix because their child is struggling at school, we are probably not your answer. Our goals are long term and making your child a problem-solver does not happen overnight.
Start young. A child's brain is curious and by having your child derive and discover can start as early as 3.5 years of age.
We do not emphasize speed.
We do not emphasize memorization of arithmetic tables.
We care about the process. "Why did you solve it this way?" "Can you explain why?"
Think of Growing IQ as a math lab. We average 6 to 7 students in each class and have two teachers in each class (4:1 student to teacher ratio).
Growing IQ's approach is about allowing your child to experience math and more importantly for the student to discover a concept.
If we teach our children everything we know, their knowledge is limited to ours. If we teach children to think, their knowledge is limitless.
