CRITICAL THINKING

Growing IQ, after school math enrichment program for elementary kids, strives to give students experiences that extend beyond recall and enable students to develop autonomous systems of thinking.  Through the incorporation of critical thinking skills, students learn how to recognize problems; analyze relevant information objectively; evaluate sources; test conclusions; make reasoned judgements; and arrive at generalizations that can be applied to new problems.

LOGICAL REASONING

Logical reasoning is a process of thinking that requires patience, concentration, flexibility, a structured approach, and the ability to think outside the box.  This type of thinking empowers individuals to think for themselves and is a cornerstone in mathematics.

Spatial Reasoning

Spatial reasoning and mathematics are interconnected; as various stands of mathematics are inherently spatial.  Spatial thinking supports the development of understandings of number identification, quantity, place-value, magnitude, arithmetic, and more.
